Blue tits nest in holes in a tree or wall or any other suitable structure. The nest is a cup made by the female from moss, wool, dead leaves, spiders' webs, and lined with down.
Blue tit have a large clutch, typically 10 to 12 eggs which are laid at a time when green caterpillars are abundant.
